How to find us...

The Brecon Beacons and Cambrian Mountains sound as though they may be in the middle of Wales but they are not as far as you think – approx one hour from Abergavenny, the gateway to Wales. The drive from Junction 24 off the M4 is a pretty drive, taking in some of the 300 castles built by the English lords and Welsh princes to keep their own lands safe from marauders.

The drive from London is approximately 3 hours and one hour 40 mins from Bristol and Cardiff. Speed cameras do operate in our country lanes but are in mobile vans usually parked in lay-bys – so be careful you have been warned!

You can reach Rhedyn by train from London or Bristol to Cardiff and take the Heart of Wales line to Cilmeri where we are happy to pick you up, or from Birmingham to Shrewsbury where you can pick up the Heart of Wales train line travelling in the opposite direction! The trains are not frequent, so you will need to plan your journey carefully. The journey is the prettiest train ride in Mid Wales.

You're really close now...

Rhedyn is situated on the A483 between Builth Wells and Garth, just one mile from the village of Cilmery. Coming from Builth Wells there is a large ‘Rhedyn’ sign on the right side of the road next to a farm gate. We are the white house in the middle of the field beyond the gate. Please leave all gates as you find them.
